Discover Upper Hutt's creative community with the New Upper Hutt Art Trail website

Upper Hutt is home to a vibrant community of artists, makers and creatives, and we're proud to launch our new website where you can discover them all.

Created to celebrate our thriving creative community, the Upper Hutt Art Trail website brings together artists, makers, studios and event information into one easy-to-use online space.

Whether you’re planning your visit to the annual Art Trail or simply looking to connect with local artists, this new website makes it easy to find everything you need in one place.

From painters and potters to sculptors, jewellers, textile artists and mixed media creators, the Art Trail showcases the diversity of creative talent across Upper Hutt. This year's event features over 60 artists at 26 locations, each offering a unique opportunity to meet the artist, explore their work, and discover something new.

Alongside a printed brochure, the new website makes planning your Art Trail experience quick and easy. With clear navigation, vibrant branding, an interactive map, and colour-coded artist profiles with easy-to-use category tags, visitors can browse artists by medium, discover new favourites, and create their own self-guided tour.

On this new website, visitors can:

  • Browse artist profiles and discover studios, galleries and community hubs across Upper Hutt.

  • Learn more about the artists and stories behind their work.

  • Help plan your route using the interactive Google Maps view.

  • Find event details and helpful visitor information.

Proudly donated by Tailwind

We are grateful for Tailwind Branding & Design who donated this new website to Upper Hutt Art Trail. They worked closely with us to build a website that captures the creative spirit of the Upper Hutt Art Trail while making it simple for visitors to discover artists, plan their journey, and explore everything the event has to offer. Built with future growth in mind, the website also provides us with a flexible platform that can evolve alongside the Art Trail each year.

Tailwind Creative Director, Josh Wyatt, said: “As a design studio in Upper Hutt, we love to raise the profile of local businesses and charities through fantastic design and branding. We have an initiative called 'Passion Projects' where our team gifts design work to charities that they care about. The Upper Hutt Art Trail website was the perfect opportunity to make use of this. We pooled together our time to give back to an organisation that supports the local creative community that we consider ourselves to be a proud part of."
