Daniel Dean Allen is a Upper Hutt-based comic artist and contemporary Māori mythic illustrator whose arts practice is grounded in mātauranga Māori.

With a strong focus on Pūrakau Māori, Rongoā Māori, and the traditional martial art of Mau Rākau, he creates narrative-driven artwork that brings together culture, storytelling, and visual expression.

Through comics, illustration, and design, Allen aims to celebrate and revitalize Māori knowledge and identity for the people of Aotearoa.
